iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 were the first Apple iPhones to support 18-watt USB-C PD fast-charging. The 5-watt Apple charger that comes with iPhone 8 Plus takes very long to charge the phone’s massive 2675 mAh battery. But you can charge the iPhone 8 Plus from zero to 60% in just 30 minutes using a USB-C PD charger or USB-C PD power bank . All you need for this is a USB-C to Lightning cable.

If you want a lower priced solution that is still two times faster than the stock Apple charger and does not require purchasing any extra cable, then the iPhone 8 Plus can also be fast-charged with 2.4 amp chargers at speeds of zero to 50% in around 45 minutes. This is not as fast as the USB-C PD charging, but is still way faster than the 5 watt/ 1 amp Apple charger.

Here are the best ways to fast charge the iPhone 8 Plus –

Charge iPhone 8 Plus fast with USB-C PD charger

A good USB-C PD charger with 18-watt or higher output will fast-charge the iPhone 8 Plus from zero to 60% in just about 30 minutes. It will also fast-charge latest iPhone 13/12 etc. and is a good future-proof investment as new iPhones do not come with an adapter.

If you usually just charge your phone, then we recommend the AmazonBasics 30-watt PD charger or Anker Nano 20-watt charger . If you charge two phones at a time, or a phone and power bank/iPad at the same time, then a dual port PD charger such as Anker 30-watt PowerPort Speed Duo charger is a good option.

Newer 2019/2018 iPads can such as iPad Pro 2019/2018, iPad Mini 5, and iPad Air 3 also support PD fast charging.

RAVPower 20000 PD 3.0 45-watt will charge the iPhone 8 Plus as well as all the latest iPhones/iPads/Macbooks at fast speeds with a maximum charging output of 45-watt for the MacBooks and 18 watts for the iPhones and iPads.
